Sparks will fly when Castres Olympique welcome Vodacom Bulls to Stade Pierre-Fabre in Saturday’s Champions Cup match. Castres and Bulls will be aiming for victory to strengthen their push for a place in the playoff. Read on for our prediction of the match.

The hosts will be brimming with confidence after snapping their two-game losing streak last time out against Section Paloise. Jeremy Davidson’s men had a tough start to their European rugby campaign after going down 38-8 to table toppers Northampton Saints.

They, however, bounced back with a hard-fought 16-14 victory over Munster to give their playoff hopes a needed boost. This leaves Castres Olympique with four points as they occupy the final qualification slot in the group.

Vodacom Bulls head into the clash short of confidence following their three consecutive losses in all competitions. The Bulls’ struggles have been compounded by their form in the Champions Cup which has seen them fail to win a single game.

The two losses to Saracens and Northampton Saints left them fifth on the table without a single point. Jake White’s men’s away form also exacerbates their poor form having lost their last two games including the away loss to Saracens.

The Bulls camped at the home of reigning tournament champions Stade Toulousain ahead of the match and will hope to sip some of that success.
