Top seed Casper Ruud takes to the court on Friday to battle unseeded Sebastian Ofner in the Swedish Open quarterfinals. Ruud is a former champion here in Bastad. He won the title two seasons ago. The Norwegian has been in strong form on clay once again and is one of the favourites to emerge champion. He started things off in the first round and has won both his matches in three sets. To book this match with Ruud, he came from behind, just like in his opener, to defeat Bernabe Zapata Miralles. The winner of this tie will play either third seed Lorenzo Musetti or the qualifier Filip Misolic in the semis.
