Casper Ruud vs Nicolás Jarry Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Geneva Open

Top seed Casper Ruud and the unseeded Nicolas Jarry will play each other on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Geneva Open. A semifinal showdown with either third seed Alexander Zverev or the unseeded Wu Yibing awaits the winner of this match. Casper Ruud is seeking a third successive title in Geneva and is only three wins away from realising this. The Norwegian has won the title when he has played here and has a record of nine wins with no losses. He is the favourite once again to win as he has also excelled on clay this season. Eleven of his 16 wins so far have come on clay. He has one title on the surface and arrived in Geneva after making it to the semifinals in Rome. Ruud started the week ranked fourth in the ATP but has since dropped to seventh after losing 1155 ranking points. This will be the second encounter between Ruud and Jarry. Ruud won the first match in Seoul last season. He defeated Christopher Eubanks in straight sets of 6-3, 7-5 in the previous round.

Nicolas Jarry is making his second appearance in Geneva and it comes four years after the first. Jarry made his debut in 2019 and managed to go all the way to the final where he lost to Alexander Zverev. He too has had his most success this season on clay with 15 of his 19 wins coming on the surface. This form has seen him win his first tour title in four years with his Chile Open victory earlier in the season. Jarry’s latest win came in his opening round match where he battled Dusan Lajovic and won in straight sets. He was handed a walkover in the second round after Tallon Griekspoor pulled out of their scheduled tie. Jarry is up four places to number 50 in the live ranking.
