Casper Ruud vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction & Betting Tips - Olympic Tournament

Casper Ruud is the sixth seed in the Olympic men's singles tournament. He faces 13th-seeded Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarter-finals. Can the Norwegian make it into the last four, read our prediction of this match.

The winner will face either second seed Carlos Alcraraz or ninth-seeded Tommy Paul in the last four. Ruud is playing in his first Olympic tennis tournament. The world number nine has twice made it to the French Open final at Roland Garros. He went deep this year too with a run to the last four.

His form had dipped a little of late but back in Paris he's been playing well. So far he started with a win over Taro Daniel in straight sets but then had to go to a final set against Andrea Vavassori after losing the first set. Smoother progress came in Wednesday's third round match as he beat sixth seed Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets.

Felix Auger-Aliassime trails Ruud 3-2 in previous meetings but it's 1-1 on clay. His one win on this surface came this year in Madrid with a straight sets win, ending a run of three losses in a row to Ruud, 

At one stage this year, Auger-Aliassime was only 36th in the world. He's made his way back up the rankings and is now the world number 19. On clay this year, the Canadian has reached one final this year and now he's in the last eight here, three other quarter-finals.

This week has seen him win his first match in the Olympics after failing to do so in Tokyo three years ago. Wins have come over Marcos Giron, Maximilian Marterer and on Wednesday he beat the fourth seed Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.

A great match looks likely here and we just go for Ruud to get the victory.
