Caroline Garcia and Linda Fruhvirtova will square off on Monday at the Tennis in the Land WTA 250 tournament first-round. Garcia has struggled in 2023 and has compiled a 27-18 record. She arrives here having lost her last four matches and will hope for a positive run with the US Open next week. The Frenchwoman has won the majority of her victories on hard court and also suffered the most defeats on the surface. She has compiled a 13-10 record on hard court. Garcia’s last match before arriving here was in Cincinnati where she lost in three sets to Sloane Stephens in the second round. The 11-time tour champion has played two finals so far with one being on hard court. She is currently down one place to seventh in the live ranking.
