Carlos Taberner vs Jaume Munar Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

World number 70 Jamie Maunar takes on Carlos Taberner who is ranked 46 places below him. This is a first round match in the Indian Wells men's singles and the winner takes on fourth seeded Andrey Rublev in round two. Maunar began the year ranked 109th but he's now established himself in the top 100. He began the year by winning a Challenger Tour event in Antalya and in the first round, he beat Taberner in straight sets. Soon after though, he reached another final in Antalya and this time, he lost to Taberner in the final. Another final was reached in Marbella. On the ATP Tour, he's reached the last eight of a clay tournament held in Buenos Aires. He's Spanish, so obviously he does love clay and got to the final of another tournament in Marbella. Recent form is pretty bad though with only two wins in his last 11 matches.

Carlos Taberner is also Spanish and has risen 27 places in the world rankings this year. Aside from the win over Maunar in Antalya, he also won a Challenger Tour event in Aix en Provence and semi-finals in Verona and Seville and again is best on clay. Away from that surface, he did make it to the last eight of a hard court event in Khazakhstan last week. This is a tough one to choose the winner in so low stakes. A bet on over 22.5 games is the tentative choice.
