Carlos Alcaraz takes to the court for singles action in the Laver Cup. He faces Team World's Taylor Fritz hoping the match is still alive by this stage and his team could still lift the trophy. Here's our match prediction.

Alcaraz is making his debut in this Laver Cup. He's playing despite being rather vocal about the tough schedule that players have to face in men's tennis.

This is the final scheduled singles match of this international challenge. Team Europe began the day 8-4 down as they try to win the competition for the first time since 2021. They'll need a comeback to keep those hopes alive.

The Spaniard has had mixed results so far on the first two days. He lost in the doubles on Friday but then beat Ben Shelton in straight sets on Saturday. Day three opened with him playing a doubles match alongside Casper Ruud.

Taylor Fritz recently reached the US Open final and is playing in the Laver Cup for the fourth time in his career.. He'd won three of his four singles in previous tournaments and again played well this year.

After teaming up with Ben Shelton to beat Alcaraz and Zverev in the doubles on Friday, he had a singles win over Daniil Medvedev yesterday. The American had to come from a set down to win that match. 

He's never beaten Alcaraz in a singles match. Their only previous meeting was last year in Miami with the Spaniard winning that hard court match in straight sets. We tip Alcaraz to win this Laver Cup match.
