Carlos Alcaraz vs Miomir Kecmanovic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Miami
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Rising star Carlos Alcaraz takes on Miomir Kecmanovic in the Miami Masters quarter final. Alcaraz is the 14th seed and has a tough task ahead of him if beating his unseeded opponent. The semi-final would see him up against either top seeded Daniil Medvedev or defending champion Hubert Hurkacz. A quarter final win will see Alcaraz move up to 13th in the live rankings. He's already seventh in the ATP Race that is based on the number of ranking points earned this year. The Spaniard has had a great year so far with a title win on clay in Rio de Janiero and reaching the semi-finals in Indian Wells, losing in three sets to Rafa Nadal. His good form has continued in Miami with wins over Marton Fucsovics, 21st seeded Marin Cilic and then third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, all without losing a set.
Miomir Kecmanovic began this tournament ranked 48th but has risen ten places in the live rankings. In January he was as low as 78th on the list but then began to climb up the rankings. He got to the last 16 at the Australian Open and then reached the last eight of the clay court tournament in Rio de Janiero that his opponent in this match won. He followed that up with another last eight appearance in Santiago. He's not just doing well on clay though as Kecmanovic also made it to the Indian Wells quarter final before losing to eventual winner Taylor Fritz. In Miami his good form has continued with wins over Jack Sock, seventh seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime, Sebastian Korda and then came from behind to get a win over 11th seed Taylor Fritz. This is going to be a tough match against Alcaraz and the Spaniard can win in straight sets.
