Carlos Alcaraz vs Lorenzo Musetti Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz and 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti will on Sunday meet in the fourth round at the French Open. Carlos Alcaraz has dropped only one set in the three matches he has played in Paris. This was the second set in the second round against Taro Daniel. In his previous match, the current world number one, defeated 26th seed Denis Shapovalov 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. It was his 23rd win on clay so far this season and 12th in 15 matches at Roland Garros since his debut four seasons ago. Alcaraz is highly favoured to emerge champion here. He has dominated on the tennis court and has a record of 33 wins and only three losses. His form has seen him play five finals so far, winning four titles with three coming on clay. This match with Musetti could however be his toughest matchup yet. Alcaraz and Musetti have played each other twice before and have each won once with Musetti winning the last time they met in Hamburg.

Lorenzo Musetti defeated Alcaraz in the final of the Hamburg Open in 2022 to win his first tour title. Coupled with his excellent form in Paris, the Italian will fancy his chances of upsetting the top seed. Musetti is yet to drop a set in his third appearance at Roland Garros and defeated Cameron Norrie 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 to book this round. It is the second time he has gotten this far at the major but has never progressed past this round. He is up one place to a career-high 17th place in the live ranking after the win over Norrie and can move up one more place with a win on Sunday. Musetti has however had a rocky season so far and has a record of 16 wins and 12 losses. The winner will meet either fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas or the qualifier Sebastian Ofner in the quarterfinals.
