Top seed Carlos Alcaraz will play eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz in the semi-finals of the Rotterdam Open. This is their fourth career meeting and the winner will play Alex de Minaur or Mattia Bellucci to decide the tournament. Below is our prediction for this match.

Carlos Alcaraz is having quite the debut campaign in Rotterdam. He has lost just one set thus far this week and is now just two wins away from being crowned champion.

The world number three defeated compatriot Pedro Martinez by the loss of just three games in the quarter-finals. He has now won seven of eight fixtures this season.

Alcaraz has never lost to Hurkacz, winning all three previous battles.

Hubert Hurkacz battled from a set down to defeat fourth seed Andrey Rublev to advance to the semis. This was his sixth victory of a shaky start to the season.

Hurkacz has lost four times so far with two of those defeats coming against top 10 players. Advancing to the last four is the Pole’s highlight of the season.

This has allowed him to move back into the ATP’s top 20.

Hurkacz, who had a disappointing second-round exit at the Australian Open, has made it to 11 tour finals in his career. Three of those finals have been on indoor hardcourts.
