Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells
by Kennedy Kechula in Tennis Predictions
Top seed Carlos Alcaraz and eighth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime will on Thursday battle in the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Open on an outdoor hard court. Carlos Alcaraz has made the final in his previous two tournaments (Buenos Aires and Rio) and will be keen to make it a hat-trick of finals to start the season by advancing to the tournament decider here. He won it all in Argentina but had to settle for second place in Brazil. The Spaniard had a belated start to the season due to injury and his lack of game time saw him lose his hold on the world’s number-one spot to Novak Djokovic. He has the chance to reclaim the title by winning it all at Indian Wells. His start to the tournament suggests that he will as he is yet to drop a single set in his three matches.
Felix Auger-Aliassime is currently ranked sixth in the live ranking and had to battle from a set down to defeat American Tommy Paul 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 and book this round. He hasn’t been commanding at the tournament despite dropping just one set in his three matches. The Canadian has been forced to seven games in each match and against a player in impeccable form as Alcaraz is at the moment, this proves that he has to really dig deep to come away with the win here. Auger-Aliassime has had a topsy-turvy season so far and is yet to win more than three matches consecutively. This is the furthest he has ever been in four previous appearances here and this should give him confidence that he can progress even further. Auger-Aliassime has won the previous three meetings between the two. The winner here will advance to the semifinals where a tie with either fourth seed Taylor Fritz or 11th seed Jannik Sinner awaits.

Our Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction
If not for an injury in the middle of his Rio Open final with Cameron Norrie that hindered his movement allowing the Brit to seal the win, Carlos Alcaraz will have been unbeaten coming into this match. That is how impeccable he has been that only unforeseen circumstances can halt him in his tracks. Auger-Aliassime hasn’t been outstanding here or in the entire season thus far and should find it difficult against Alcaraz. Our prediction for Carlos Alcaraz v Felix Auger-Aliassime is a win for Alcaraz.
