Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexandre Muller Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz faces unseeded Alexandre Muller in roud two a Wimbledon. The winner of this match will take on either 25th seeded Nicholas Jarry or unseeded Jason Kubler in round three. Alcaraz is playing this grass court Grand Slam event for only the third time. His best performance was last year when making it to the fourth round. He showed his ability for this surface when winning the Queen's Club tournament with only one set lost and four top 40 players beaten. That was his fifth title of the year and he was impressive in the first round at Wimbledon. The Spaniard beat Jeremy Chardy in straight sets and only lost seven games.

Alexandre Muller is the second consecutive French opponent for Alcaraz. He began this tournament ramked 84th in the world which is only two places below his career high. That will be broken this week though as he's up to 75th in the live rankings at the time of writing this preview. Muller had never played in the main draw at Wimbledon before this year. The past two years have both seen him lose in the qualifying rounds with only one match won and that was when his opponent retired. Muller didn't play any of the grass court warm-up events and beat fellow Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in round one, winning in four sets. He has a mountain to climb here though and we tip Alcaraz to win in straight sets.
