The volleyball Men's Olympic Tournament has reached the final knockings of the group stage and Serbia will be hoping to keep their qualification hopes alive when they take on Canada on Saturday evening. The Eagles are currently in third place in Pool A, while the Canucks are fourth. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

With Slovenia and France having already secured automatic qualification in Pool A, Serbia and Canada’s hopes of reaching the knockouts will come down to finishing as one of the best third-placed teams in the competition. 

Serbia made a promising start to their opening match against France, winning the first set 25-23, but they struggled to keep their momentum going and capitulated in set five, managing only six points. 

The Eagles were no match for Slovenia in game two, as they lost in straight sets and failed to score 20 points in sets two and three. They have now lost each of their last four games in a row and have won only four of their last 10. 

Meanwhile, Canada fared slightly better in their first match against the Slovenians, scoring 20+ points in each set while managing to win one of those. However, they were completely outplayed by France, losing 3-0 in midweek. 

Those defeats came off the back of three consecutive wins at the Pan-American Cup, and the side has also won six of their last 10 games in all competitions. 

Despite their positive record, it is worth noting that all six of those wins for the Canucks were against Pan-American teams, while the four losses were against European and Asian opponents.
