Canada vs Netherlands Prediction & Betting Tips - Mixed Doubles
by Nella Wagah | in Tennis Predictions
Canada and the Netherlands will battle it out for the Tennis Mixed Doubles bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Gabriela Dabrowski are representing Canada while the Dutch are represented by Demi Schuurs and Wesley Koolhof. Here’s our preview and prediction for this match.
Canada have placed themselves in a position to win their first Olympic medal since the 2000 Games in Sydney. In the semi-final, Canada were defeated in straight sets by the Czech who have dominated this year’s event.
Before that though, they had defeated the third-seeded USA who were being represented by Cori Gauff and Taylor Fritz. Dabrowski is known more for her Doubles play than Singles and has excelled in this. She has won three Grand Slams in both Doubles and Mixed Doubles events, with one of her successes being at the French Open.
The Netherlands are represented by two players who prefer Doubles to Singles. Wesley Koolhof has also won at the French Open in Mixed Doubles and has another Grand Slam title in Men’s Doubles.
Demi Schuurs on her part hasn’t been fortunate enough to win major titles but she has claimed multiple at WTA 1000 level. The Dutch dropped down to the bronze medal decider after losing their semi-final tie with China.
They lost in three sets after relinquishing their first-set lead. Schuurs and Koolhof defeated the fourth-seeded Greece in the first round in straight sets and then Italy in three sets.

Our Canada vs Netherlands Prediction
Canada have Felix-Auger Aliassime in the team who is enjoying an incredible clay season. He has had most of his Singles success on clay and is even battling for a podium finish in Paris in the Singles category.
Aliassime is partnered up with Gabriela Dabrowski who is good at Doubles events. Dabrowski two Grand Slam titles at Mixed Doubles, one being at the French Open. They should be able to get the better of the Dutch whose representatives have struggled. Our prediction for Canada v the Netherlands is for Canada to win.
