Camila Osorio vs Linda Noskova Prediction & Betting Tips - Lyon, France, Qualifying

Qualifier Linda Noskova takes on unseeded Camila Osorio in the Lyon Open quarter finals. The winner of this match will face either top seeded Caroline Garcia or unseeded Jasmine Paolini in the last four. Noskova may have had to qualify for this tournament but the Czech is having an eventful start to 2023. Her first tournament of the year saw Noskova reach the final of Adelaide International 1, losing to the soon-to-be Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka. The Czech had wins over Ons Jabeur and Daria Kasatkina that week, both who are in the top ten, It was all a bit disappointing therefore when Noskova lost to Katherine Sebov in the first qualifying round of the Australian Open. This week started with her a career high 56th, a big improvement on 102nd at the start of the year. This run to the quarter finals in Lyon has her up to 49th and a win over Osorio will take her to 46th.  Only 11 players have earned more ranking points than her this year. This week has seen her win two qualifiers to get into the main draw. The first round saw her defeat struggling Garbine Muguruza in straight sets and then Noskova beat sixth seeded Mayar Sheriff for the loss of only five games.

Camila Osorio is currently 67th in the live rankings and a win over Noskova can see her rise up to 60th. The Colombian is in only her second tournament of the new year. The other was the Australian Open where she reached the second round. Panna Uvardy was beaten in the first round but that led to her to a match against world number one Iga Swiatek who won that match for the loss of only five games. Osorio was back in winning ways when defeating the third seeded Alize Cornet in the first round of this tournament. Round two saw her get a tightly contested win over Julie Niemeier 7-6 7-5. That was a good win consdering Osorio trailed in both sets. Noskova looks to be in the better form, go for her to win this match.
