Camila Giorgi vs Anett Kontaveit Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Eastbourne International

An unseeded player will win the Eastbourne International grass court championship this weekend, weather permitting. All the seeds have failed to make it to the last four as Anett Kontaveit takes on Camila GiorgI. The winner is up against either Elena Rybakina or Jolena Ostapenko. Kontaveit is the world number number 27 and can go up two places with a win over Giorgi. The Estonian began the year with a run to the final of the Grampians Trophy in Australia, but for health reasons it wasn't played. She had wins over Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sakkari that week. The last 32 was reached at the Australian Open plus two last eight appearances in Dubai and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. At Roland Garros, Kontaveit lost to Iga Swiatek in the last 32. This is her first grass court event of the year.  Wins have been achieved against Svetlana Kuznetsova, third seeded Bianca Andreescu and in the last eight, Viktorija Golubic in three sets. Her best performance at Wimbledon has been the third round. She's bidding to win her second WTA grass court title, after winning one in the Netherlands four years ago. There was also an ITF circuit win in the Eastbourne Trophy six years ago, so she must love this place.

Camila Giorgi  is ranked 75th and had to win two matches to get into the main draw of this tournament. That wasn't too easy a task as she went a set down to Magda Linette in her first match. A win over Ajla Tomljanovic took her into a first round match against fifth seeded Karolina Pliskova. It wasn't looking good after losing the first set 6-2 but the Italian battled back to defeat the seeded player. Another three-setter followed as she beat lucky loser Shelby Rogers. Then came a last eight match against the top seeded Aryna Sabalenka, only the second time she's reached this stage all year. Giorgi won the first set but lost the next one without winning  a game. Giorgi recovered well to take the final set 6-4. Giorgi made it to the last eight at Wimbledon four years ago and won a grass court tournament in the Netherlands six years ago. She's had some tough battles this week and the tip is for over 21.5 games in this match.
