Cameron Norrie vs Peter Gojowczyk Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Acapulco Open

A few weeks ago it was all a bit miserable for Cameron Norrie. A poor start to the season ended when winning the Delray Beach Open last week. He's going well again in Acupulco and takes on Peter Gojowczyk in the quarter finals. Norrie is the sixth seed for the Mexican Open and ranked 12th in the world.  Norrie lost his first four matches of the year but then began to find form when reaching the last eight in Rotterdam. Last week saw him triumph in the Delray Beach Open beating Reilly Opelka in the final and only dropping one set all week. His improved form has continued this week with victories over Daniel Altmaier and John Isner. He had to come from a set down against Isner after losing the first on a tie-break. The winner of this match takes on either Marcos Giron or third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semi-final.

His opponent is the world number 95 and has already lost one match this week. He was beaten by Yoshihito Nishioka in the final qualifying round but then gained a place in the main draw afer withdrawals. He's made the most of his reprieve a win over Brandon Nakashima in the first round. His good luck this week continued when his second round opponent Alexander Zverev was withdrawn from the singles after his disqualification in a doubles match. Gojowczyk has made a terrible start to the new year. He lost his first five matches of 2022  and won just one set before getting a win over Gerardo Lopez Villasenor (the world number 651) in the first qualifying round of this tournament. Three of his losses this year have been to players who were ranked outside the top 100. He's had three previous matches against Norrie, losing all of them. Back Norrie to win in straight sets.
