On his fourth straight appearance at the Madrid Masters, Cameron Norrie will proceed to the third round. Here he faces Gabriel Diallo for the first time, and the winner will meet Grigor Dimitrov or Jacob Fearnley. Read on for our prediction of the match.

Main draw victories haven't come a lot for Norrie, but he's landed favorable draws so far. He has faced the inexperienced Martin Landaluce and Jiri Lehecka, who is struggling for fitness.

In both matches, Norrie scored three-set wins, recovering from the first-round loss in Barcelona. The Brit arrived in Madrid on a losing run but has so far stretched his record to 11-11.  

Diallo is playing a third Masters tournament as a lucky loser and will hope for a deeper run here. At Indian Wells and Miami, he exited in the second round, so being in the third here is some achievement.

Diallo, here in Madrid, has also seen his first main draw win on clay at the Masters level. In the second round, he needed over two hours to see off Kamil Majchrzak in three sets.

He has seized the second chance handed to him after the loss to Borna Coric at the qualification stage. The Canadian has compiled a 16-13 record so far, with five of his wins coming on clay.
