Seventh seed Alex Michelsen and the unseeded Cameron Norrie will face off in the first round at the ATP Dallas. This will be their first career meeting, and the winner will play Alexander Shevchenko or Reilly Opelka next. Read on for our prediction of this match. 

Cameron Norrie has returned to Dallas for a second time. He produced a second-round finish in his main draw debut in 2020. 

The Brit is having a poor start to the season. He has lost three times in five outings and is on a three-match skid. But as he has had more than two weeks of rest since his last appearance, he might arrive here a different player. 

Norrie, the world number 63, has compiled a shaky 48-49 record when competing on indoor hardcourts.

Alex Michelsen has fared much better than Norrie this season and will arrive for this showdown confident of a win. He has won seven of 10 fixtures, and in his last five matches, he lost just once. 

The American is coming off a straight-sets victory in his sole Davis Cup tie. Michelsen, who started the week in 36th place in the world rankings, produced a fourth-round finish at the Australian Open.
