And then there was one. There are 16 teams due to be playing in the NBA play-offs and we know the identities of 15 of them. One place is left and the Portland Trail Blazers are in the driving seat going into this match against the Brooklyn Nets. Portland have a 34-39 season record and that puts them in the eighth and final qualifying place in the Western Conference. That puts them just ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns who both have a 33-39 record. This is their final match of the regular season and a win will take them into a play-off game against the LA Lakers, good luck with that one. They could even have qualified by the time this match begins with both Memphis and Phoenix playing Dallas. Portland are in good form though with four wins from their last five matches. The only loss was to the LA Clippers (overall second in the Western Conference) and both of the last two have been won. Tight affairs though, with both being won by three points. 

Brooklyn Nets are already through to the play-offs and will finish seventh in the Eastern Conference. That has secured them a tie against the defending champions Toronto Raptors, so not an easy task there. They may well rest a few players for this game with that tough battle starting next week. Brooklyn have a 35-36 season record and are through to the play-offs for the second year in a row. They have won five of their seven games played in Orlando with the last three won. This is all about Portland though and Brooklyn played a weakned team in their last match. Go for Portland to get the win here.
