After a three-match losing streak, the Brooklyn Nets have clawed back much of the ground lost with four wins from their last five games (L1). One of those wins was a recent 127-117 triumph against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. 

However, they come into this clash boasting a three-match winning streak, indicating a resurgence in form. The Nets set foot at the Barclays Center for the first time since their narrow 116-115 victory against the Charlotte Hornets on November 20th. This was their fourth victory in seven games (L3).

Orlando Magic's performance in the East has been nothing short of impressive in the first half of the current season. The team has recorded ten wins from their last 11 games with the only setback during this impressive streak being a 104-93 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Magic proved the skeptics wrong in their recent match as they vanquished the favored Chicago Bulls with a convincing 133-119 triumph. This marked their fourth consecutive win, and they'll want to add to that tally by claiming a fifth win in this outing.
