The Brooklyn Nets and New Orleans Pelicans will face off at the Barclays Center in the NBA on Tuesday night. The Nets (25-53) are 12th in the Eastern Conference, while the Pels (21-57) are 14th in the West. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Brooklyn Nets are out of postseason contention and suffered their 18th defeat in 22 games on Sunday night when they were hammered by the Toronto Raptors 120-109 at home. 

No Brooklyn player managed to surpass 15 points in the defeat to the Raps. As a team, they shot 47% from the field and converted 10 of their 35 attempts from beyond the arc. 

The Nets are the lowest-scoring team in the NBA this season, averaging 105.1 points per game, but they are a much better defensive unit that allows 111.9 PPG (10th overall).

Meanwhile, with just 21 wins for the season, the Pelicans have known their fate for a while now and will play out their remaining games this term as formality before the rebuild for next season starts. 

New Orleans suffered their third consecutive loss and 13th in their last 17 games on Sunday when they came up short 111-107 against the Milwaukee Bucks at home. 

The Pels are bottom 10 on both ends this season, 24th for points scored (110.0 PPG) and 26 for points conceded (118.7 PPG).
