The 3-4 Brooklyn Nets will look to get back to winning ways when they host the 3-3 Los Angeles Clippers for this Wednesday NBA clash. The Nets saw their three game winning streak come to an end against the conference leading Boston Celtics on Saturday. They would then fall to a 129-125 home defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday to drop down to eighth in the East. This game represents the third straight at the Barclay Center for the Nets before heading to Boston to take on the Celtics for the In-Season tournament. Brooklyn is among the best scoring teams in the NBA in large part due to Cam Thomas. The 22-year-old has exploded this season and is coming off a 45 point performance against the Bucks to raise his season average to 28.7 points per game. The Nets are the sixth highest scoring team in the league at an average of 117.6 points per game.

The Clippers remain in New York after losing 111-97 to the Knicks on Monday. The loss was the team’s second in a row following their overtime defeat to the Lakers. Los Angeles has been in the news recently due to the acquisition of James Harden in a blockbuster deal. The former MVP would make his debut at Madison Square Garden where he would score 17 points and dish out six assists in 31 minutes of play. It will be interesting to see how the Clippers adjust to playing with their “big four” of Leonard, George, Harden and Westbrook. LA lost the rebounding battle 48-31 to the Knicks in their most recent defeat. The result was a New York team that got up 88 total shots while the Clippers managed just 73. They’ll have to be better here against a Brooklyn team that ranks top-five in defensive rebounding.
