After a gripping three weeks of action, Brazil and Turkey have one final chance to secure a spot on the podium when they face off in the bronze medal match at the Paris 2024 Olympics on August 10. Canarinhas are ranked second in the world according to FIVB, while the Crescent Stars are the ninth-ranked team. Check out our match prediction below.
Brazil will not be able to improve on their silver medal from Tokyo 2020 but are heavily fancied to claim the third step and bronze in this matchup. Turkey, meanwhile, have continued their progress at the Olympics and will post their best-ever finish at the Games in this edition regardless of the outcome, improving on fifth place from Tokyo.

Brazil - Turkiye: Form Analysis
Brazil looked destined to reach the final after a very good group stage and quarter-final until they ran into the defending champions in the semis and were beaten 3-2.
Canarinhas came through the group stages top of Pool B with a perfect record of three wins in three. They were the only team to win all three matches against Poland, Japan and Kenya without losing a single set.
Drawn against the Dominican Republic in the knockout round, Brazil delivered arguably their best performance of the competition, storming to yet another straight-sets victory.
Unfortunately, the first set they dropped put them on the back foot against the US, who were as resilient as ever, and edged Carinhas to a hard-fought victory in a match that went the distance.
Brazil now have a record of seven wins and three losses in their last 10 matches in all competitions.
Meanwhile, regardless of how this match turns out, Turkey can be well proud of their performance here in Paris as they are guaranteed at least fourth place, improving on ninth in their first World Cup appearance in 2012 and fifth in Tokyo 2020.
The Crescent Stars claimed second place behind Italy in Pool C with wins over the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands and a loss to Gli Azzurri. In the quarter-final, they stepped up a gear, overcoming China 3-2.
With those results, Turkey have now split their last 10 matches five wins and five losses, but have also established themselves as a team to watch over the next few years.

Ana Cristina Souza was Brazil’s standout performer in the semi-final. She led the team’s scoring, contributing a whopping 24 points, including 22 kills and two blocks, and will be one to watch in this match.
Outside hitter Gabriela Guimaraes and opposite Rosamaria Montibeller also put up solid numbers, registering 16 (15 kills, one block) and 14 points (12 kills, two blocks), respectively, in the semi-final defeat.
Melissa Vargas has been sensational for Turkey in this competition and was the chief architect behind their quarter-final victory against China. She had the second-highest scoring performance of a woman at the Games, tallying an incredible 42 points.
Outside hitter Hande Baladin has also had a solid tournament and will look to end on a positive note. Cansu Ozbay sustained an injury during the group stage and is flagged as doubt for this one.
