Brazil will take on the Dominican Republic in the quarter-final of the Women’s Volleyball competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Wednesday night. The winner of this match will move on to face either the United States or Poland in the semis. Here’s our match prediction for this quarter-final duel.

The Dominican Republic fought hard to secure a qualification spot as they held off the Netherlands in their final group-stage match to claim one of the two best third-placed berths. 

Before that, they suffered back-to-back losses to Italy in match one and Turkey in match two, both by a scoreline of 3-1. Overall, their record now stands at seven wins and three losses in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

However, while their record may look impressive at a glance, it is worth noting that four of their matches came against Pan-American opposition. 

Meanwhile, Brazil have been simply sensational here in Paris as they romped to the top of their group and are the only side in the competition that is yet to drop a set.
