Fourth seeded Brandon Nakashima faces the fifth seed Jiri Lehecka in the NextGen fianal. Nakashima is ranked 26 places higher than his Czech opponent. The American has won all four of his matches in this tournament. Only when playing Matteo Arnaldi has he dropped a set in these best of five matches with the winner being the first to four games. He was in the same round-robin group as Lehecka and beat him for the loss of only six games, the second set going to a tie-break. Nakashima had the easier group but then defeated Jack Draper in the semi-finals.

Both of these finalists are aged 21, so this will be the last time they can play in this tournament. Lehecka began the year ranked 141st but it only took him until February to get into the top 100. That was achieved after reaching the semi-finals in Rotterdam, losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is a former winner of this title.  He's won a Challenger Tour tournament this year but lost in the first round of every Grand Slam this year. He's 74th in the rankings at present but form dipped in recent months after reaching a career high 59th in August. He finished second behind Nakashima in the round-robin group and then defeated Dominic Stricker in four sets to reach this final.  Back Nakashima to repeat his round-robin win over the Czech.
