An all American League East matchup on Sunday as the Boston Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays in spring training. The Red Sox have been excellent on their own field in Fort Myers so far where this game will be played. They have been giving plenty of time to 23-year-old Ceddanne Rafaela. The outfielder made his debut last August in the majors, leading the team in walks and stolen bases so far this spring. Rafael Devers is the undoubted star in Boston and he has already put a couple of home runs on the board. His play will be a huge part of how the Sox get on this season with more than 30 doubles and home runs last season as well as driving in triple figures.

Toronto are off to a quiet enough start with the big bats not firing yet. They were not really doing so at any stage in 2023 either, with Vlad Guerrero only hitting 26 home runs, down from 32 in 2022 and 48 in 2021. That led the team, the only player to get more than 21. They finished 16 games above .500 last season with that level of performance coming primarily from their pitching staff. A 3.78 ERA across the team was the second-best in the American League but they have been a long way short of that so far this spring. There is too much talent for them not to turn it around but they have already given up eight, 12 and 14 runs in games this spring.
