The Boston Celtics will welcome the New Orleans Pelicans next in the NBA, seeking to return to winning ways. The Celtics sit second in the Eastern Conference, whereas their visitors are bottom in the West. Read on for our prediction of this match.

The Celtics were humbled 114-97 at home by the Kings last time out. Possessing one of the best offensive ratings, this was the second time in three outings that they scored under 100 points.

Joe Mazzulla’s men have stuttered in recent weeks and injuries have played a big part. They, however, are in good health as none of their main starters is included in the injury report.

Boston have compiled a 27-11 record.

The Celtics are one of the top teams this season, their visitors on the other hand, are one of the poorest. The Pelicans have compiled a dismal 8-31 record which is the joint second worst record in the league.

Recently though, they have seen some success and as they are coming off a win, they will fancy an upset here. Willie Green’s men, who have been rocked by injuries all season, won 123-115 away to the Sixers.

CJ McCollum scored a game-high 38 points and led the team to its third win in the last five games.

Zion Williamson, who returned two matchdays ago following a lengthy spell on the sidelines, missed the game due to a team-imposed suspension. He could return for this trip.
