The Boston Celtics host the Indiana Pacers at the TD Garden on Friday evening for this Eastern Conference clash. Boston comes into this match sitting second in the East standings with a 22-8 record while the Pacers are eighth at 15-16. Here’s our prediction! 

The Celtics have hit their first roadbump of the season following a 118-114 home defeat against the 76ers on Christmas Day. It marked the first time that Boston has lost two consecutive games in the 2024/25 campaign.

It was also the fourth defeat in the last seven for Boston. While the defending champions are still performing very well on the season, they’ll want to snap out of this inconsistent run and nip  this losing streak in the bud at just two games.

The Pacers looked like they were starting to get on a roll before last night’s matchup against the Thunder. Indiana actually took a slim one-point lead into the fourth quarter before ultimately suffering a 120-114 home loss to the in-form Western Conference team.

The result saw an end to the Pacers five-game winning streak and dropped them back down below .500 on the year. The Pacers can take confidence from the fact that they have won their last five road games in a row after managing just two from the first 13 road trips to start the season.
