Boston Bruins vs Winnipeg Jets Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

The 30-10-4 Winnipeg Jets are in Boston to take on the 28-8-9 Bruins early on Tuesday morning. The Bruins have won four straight in impressive fashion, picking up points in 12 of their last 13 games. They put nine past the Montreal Canadiens when last in action, with the Jets coming to town for the 4th game of a five-game home stand. The Bruins were comprehensively beaten in Winnipeg just before Christmas, losing 1-5 but that was the 4th loss in a five-game spell at that point so they are playing considerably better now. They trailed twice in the game with Montreal, tied at 3-3 as the clock ticked past the halfway point but a four-goal outburst in the final period saw them comfortably on top. Danton Heinen was the star in that game with a hat trick, the first that he has notched in an eight-year career that is not in a second stint with the Bruins. David Pastrnak had a hat trick in the game before against the Colorado Avalanche so the Bruins are looking for a hat trick of hat tricks.
The Jets continue to win, nine of their last 10 games have seen them pick up two points and they do it with the top defence in the league. In their last 22 games, they have only conceded more than two goals on a single occasion when the Canadiens put three past them. In their last eight games, the Jets have only conceded 10 goals which is a remarkable run. As mentioned above, they only allowed a single goal when they met the Bruins earlier in the season and they play very tight hockey on the road. The return of Kyle Connor to the lineup will have given them a boost but they have lost Mark Scheifele to an injury now instead so they need the defence to keep up the good work to cover up the problems with the forwards. They needed overtime to beat the Ottawa Senators in the first game of a three-game road trip and this is tougher.
