Boston Bruins vs Los Angeles Kings Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

An early game for the European audience on Saturday evening as the 32-11-10 Boston Bruins host the 24-16-10 Los Angeles Kings. The Bruins have hit a bit of a sticky patch of late at home, losing four of five ahead of this clash. In general, they have been excellent at home this season so they will be looking to turn this form around. Their poor run of form has seen the Florida Panthers overtake them at the top of the Atlantic Division. David Pastrnak continues to enjoy an excellent season, producing 27 points in the 18 games the Bruins have played in 2024 to this point. He is fourth overall in the league in points and picked up three when the teams met back in October. Brad Marchand is second with 50 so there is a bit of over-reliance on the top line in Boston but they continue to perform and keep the team in the race for the top spot in the East.
Todd McLellan's time in charge of the Kings came to an end at the All-Star Break having won just three times in his last 17 games in charge. Jim Hiller is the man behind the bench and he knows just how inconsistent this franchise is. They beat the red-hot Edmonton Oilers 4-0 in his first game in charge before being absolutely hammered on the road at the Buffalo Sabres, 7-0. From the very first whistle, they were outplayed in every facet there, not helped by some poor netminding from David Rittich. They won 2-1 in New Jersey in their last game so it is not the easiest to know which Kings team is going to show up on any given night, they were losers against the Bruins when they met in Southern California earlier in the season. Scorers of just 24 goals in their last 11 games, that lack of offence against a team who are so strong defensively as the Bruins are could be another struggle for them.
