Boston Bruins vs Colorado Avalanche Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

In the early hours of Friday morning, the 29-13-3, Colorado Avalanche head to TD Garden to take on the 26-8-9 Boston Bruins. The Bruins are the top team in the East and only a point behind the best in the West. This is game two of a five-game stretch at home for the Bruins, winning their opening one 3-0 over the New Jersey Devils. That is only the second time the Devils have been shut out this season in 41 games so that has to go down as one of the Bruins's better results of late after a tough run. They have only gone 7-8 in their last 15 games which includes a loss to the Avalanche in Colorado. That was only a shootout defeat so there was little between the two teams that night and that should be the case again in this contest.
The Avs have been flying of late, winning eight of their last 10 games. They have been scoring plenty, taking the lead in the NHL scoring race with 170 goals, putting seven past the Ottawa Senators in their last game. They conceded four themselves in that end, with 15 of their last 20 games going over 5.5 goals. Nathan MacKinnon is having another exceptional campaign with 72 points, the most in the NHL at the time of writing. Mikko Rantanen (58) and Cale Makar (52) are also past the half-century mark in terms of points. Makar is only two points away from 300 in his career, a mark that would be excellent for a 25-year-old forward, let alone a defenceman. He has more than a point per game in his career, enough to put him 213th in the history of the sport for a blue-liner at his young age.
