Borna Ćorić vs Alexander Zverev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Alexander Zverev has never reached the final of a Grand Slam event but this could be the week for him. He is the highest seed left in the top half of the draw and takes on 27th seed Borna Coric in the quarter finals. Zverev is the fifth seed but of those above him, second seeded Dominic Thiem and third seed Daniil Medvedev are both in the bottom half and likely opponents in the final. His best run in a Grand Slam is reaching the last four at the Australian Open held earlier this year. He lost to Dominic Thiem in that tournament. This is the first time he has made it past the fourth round at the US Open and has done so the hard way with only one straight sets victory. He had a tough first round draw as he faced Kevin Anderson and had to go to four sets to beat the former Grand Slam finalist. Four set wins over Brandon Nakashima and Adrian Mannarino (the 32nd seed, who he lost the first set to) followed in the next two rounds before a straight sets win over unseeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. 

Borna Coric is the 27th seed for this tournament and has already caused one major surprise. He beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round but it was one hell of a fight. Coric was a set and 2-1 down before winning the final two sets to come out on top. He also had to win the fourth and fifth sets in the previous round as he battled to get past Juan Ignacio Llondero. It was a much smoother progress in the last sixteen as he beat Jordan Thompson in straight sets. Coric has never made it past the fourth round in a Grand Slam before this event. So, one of these players will make it into their first US Open semi-final and a bet on over 38.5 games being needed to decide the winner is the one to make here.
