Adrian Mannarino continues his search for a win. He takes on fellow unseeded player Borna Coric in round one of the 2024 US Open. Will Coric beat the higher-ranked player? Here's our match prediction.

It's a tough time for Adrian Mannarino who has slipped to 47th in the live rankings. The Frenchman was as high as 17th in January but now he's back among the unseeded players. His most recent tournament was in Winston Salem and he suffered another loss.

He was beaten in three sets by Aleksandar Vukic and like this tournament, it was played on a hard court. Mannarino has now lost ten matches and hasn't won since a grass court win achieved in June.

Back in February, he got to the last four of the Dallas hard court tournament. Little could he have guessed that he'd win just two of his next 22 matches. He has been winning sets though with only one of his last seven losses being in straight sets.

Borna Coric has played Adrian Mannarino on four previous occasions and lost them all. Two of those matches were played on hard courts but they all took place between 2017 and 2019 and a lot has changed since then.

Two of their four matches have seen both players win a set. Coric is 96th in the live rankings but 20 places higher in the ATP Race and 17 above his opponent. He reached the last 16 in Winston Salem last week.
