The Beermen, who finished the regular season with a league best 9-2 record, will be looking to exact some revenge against their opponents after suffering defeat at the hands of the Bolts in the 2022 Governor’s Cup quarter-final. The Bolts finished 7-4 in the regular season and got past defending Governor’s Cup champions Barangay in the quarter-finals to make it to this stage. This is a crucial game for both teams, as the winner would be just a single win away from advancing to the finals.

The focal point of the Beermen is of course the six-time MVP June Mar Fajardo who has been back at his best this season, pouring in 17.9 points per game on a ridiculously efficient 63% shooting as well as pulling down a league high 13.2 rebounds per game. Perez leads the Beermen in scoring at 18.3 points per game and has shown off the versatility in his game, grabbing 6.9 rebounds, dishing out 5.5 assists and making himself a nuisance on the defensive end with 2.6 steals per game.
