Phoenix Fuelmasters haven't totally lived up to their names in the Philippines Cup. They are two from bottom in the table but look to improve their position with a win over bottom of the standings Bosswater Elite. Phoenix have only won one of their four matches played so far. That has them in 10th place and to get into the play-offs, they need to rise a couple of positions. They're only one win short of that position though, so really need to win this match. They lost their first two fixtures but one of those was against the Magnolia Hotshots who are top with a 100% record. Their only win came against sixth placed Alaska Aces but that was followed by a defeat against third placed Meralco Bolts.

It's been a poor season so far for the Bosswater Elite with four defeats in a row. 369 points have been conceded in those matches, the only team to have conceded more are their opponents. The Fuelmasters have scored 33 points more than Bosswater though. The -69 points difference that the Elite possess is by far the worst in the tournament. Their most recent match saw them go down 99-80 to the San Miguel Beermen. They might not lose by that many in this match but the tip is to back the Fuelmasters to get the win.
