Benjamin Bonzi vs Sebastian Korda Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

Sebastian Korda is the third seed in the Winston Salem Open and looking for a confidence boost before the US Open. Korda takes on unseeded Benjamin Bonzi with the winner up against either 14th seed Marton Fucsovics or Zhang Zinzen in the last 16. Sebastian Korda is ranked 33rd in the world but will be seeded at the final Grand Slam event of the year. He hasn't been in great form in recent weeks and won just one of his four matches played on hard courts. Hence his inclusion in this tournament as he looks to find some form. The only recent hard court win he's had was against Tomas Martin Etcheverry, ranked 31st at the time. Last week in Cincinnati he had a tough draw and lost to defending champion Borna Coric. Earlier this year, Korda showed what he's capable of by reaching the final of the first Adelaide International. He beat Jannik Sinner and then took Novak Djokovic to a final set. The quarter finals of the Austraiian Open was reached but he had to retire against Karen Khachanov when it was one set apiece. He didn't make his return to the tour until April by which time the clay court season had started.

Benjamin Bonzi is ranked 101st in the latest list but is 108th in the iive rankings. That's because he reached the last eight of this tournament in 2022 so has 45 points to defend. The Frenchman was 45th in the rankings six months ago. This year has seen him in good form at the start of the year. Finals were reached in Pune and Marseille but then his form collapsed. An injury sustained in Monte Carlo saw him off the court for two months. He had lost six matches in a row on his return, not winning again until a Challenger Tour event earlier this month. Bonzi then lost to Darian King who was ranked 570th at the time. The first round of this tournament saw him beat Alexandre Muller in straight sets. This will be tougher and we go for Korda to get the victory.
