Ben Shelton vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

Felix Auger-Aliassime has been climbing back up the rankings during the clay court season. He's the 21st seed at Roland Garros and in round three, plays 15th seeded Ben Shelton. They're playing for the right to meet either third seed Carlos Alcaraz or 27th seeded Sebastian Korda in the last 16. Auger-Aliassime had slipped down the rankings and faced a struggle to be seeded at this tournament. He's been in good form of late though and began this tournament ranked 21st. His run to round three of this outdoor clay court Grand Slam has taken him up to 19th place and a couple places higher in the Live Race. The Canadian reached the final of the Madrid Masters this year and the last eight in the BMW Open. So far this week, he's beaten Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets and then qualifier Henri Squire in four, losing the second. Auger-Aliassime reached the fourth round of this tournament in 2022 and has a good chance of equalling that feat this week.

Ben Shelton is the world number 15 and remains in that position in the live list. He's 23rd in the Live Race, so six places below his opponent. Shelton is playing in this Grand Slam for only the second time and lost in round one last year. He's got off the mark in 2024 though with a win over Hugo Gaston in round one but had to recover after losing the first set. Round two saw him face Kei Nishikori and won the first two sets before his opponent retired. Shelton won the US clay court championship this year but then won only two of his next five matches on this surface. THis could be a close match but we believe Auger-Aliassime can win this match.
