Belinda Bencic vs Elina Svitolina Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Finals

Elina Svitolina is within two matches of successfully defending her WTA Tour Finals title. Only Serena Williams has managed to achieve that in recent years but Svitolina is in good form as she prepares to face Belinda Bencic in the semi-finals. Svitolina has had wins over Karolina Pliskova, Sofia Kenin and Simona Halep. All those three wins have been achieved in straight sets with all but one of them requiring her to win seven games. Svitolina was ranked eighth in the world at the start of this week but the live rankings have her at seventh and a win here would see her climb another place. 

Belinda Bencic is ranked seventh in the world (eighth in the live rankings) so there's little to choose between the two players ranking wise, though Svitolina was as high as fourth last month. Bencic finished second in her round-robin group. She lost in three sets to world number one Ashleigh Barty but beat Kiki Bertens (who retired after the first set) and Petra Kvitova in three sets. Not the easiest of weeks therefore but she has been in good form lately with a tournament win in Moscow and a semi-final at the US Open. Her form isn't as strong as that of her opponent and the tip is for Svitolina to reach the final.
