Bordeaux finished third in last season's Top 14 with 15 wins and 11 losses. That took them into the play-offs and after beating Racing 92, they then took on Stade Francais in the semi-finals and ran out 22-20 winners.
It wasn't to be their year to win the title though as they lost the final 59-3 to Stade Toulousain. Home form was a major factor in their success last season with 11 wins and only two defeats. They are unbeaten in their last six home league matches.
Stade Francais finished second in the Top 14 last season, six points ahead of Bordeaux. 17 of their 26 matches were won with eight defeats. They will be out for revenge for that play-off semi-final loss last season.
Away form in Top 14 last term was the best in the league. Although that is the case, they actually lost more games on the road than they managed to win. Six times they went home with a victory but lost seven.
