Kaunas Zalgiris will be out to boost their postseason hopes in the EuroLeague when they welcome Paris next. After 28 rounds of play, they sit 13th on the table, having won three fewer games than their seventh-placed hosts. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Zalgiris had a strong start to the season and, at some point, held the top spot in Europe. They have regressed as the season has worn on and currently sit outside the postseason places.

Andrea Trinchieri’s men have compiled a shaky 13-15 record and sit two wins from a play-in position. The Lithuanian giants suffered a close 66-65 loss away to Baskonia in the previous round.

Paris also, at one time, held the top position in Europe. Tiago Splitter’s men won 10 straight games between November and December and looked indestructible.

They have been shaky since that league-best winning run was snapped with a five-game losing run. Paris are coming into this match with Zalgiris, having managed just one win in their last six matches across all competitions.

Currently on a four-game skid, the capital club has lost its last two fixtures in Europe. Paris, who won the reverse game against Zalgiris during that 10-game winning streak, were defeated 91-79 at home by Monaco last time out.

They are tied with sixth-placed Zvezda on a 16-12 record.
