Real Madrid will begin their EuroLeague quarter-final playoffs matchup with Olympiacos on the road. They do not have home-court advantage in this series and will play the first two matches, as well as potential game five, in Piraeus. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Olympiacos secured their place in the playoffs after compiling the best regular season record. The Greek giants won 24 of their 34 matches, with two of those being against Madrid.

Georgios Bartzokas’s men won both home and away against Real, averaging 87.5 points. Olympicos, who compiled a 13-4 home record, are seeking to end a 12-year wait for a European title.

Real Madrid are in the playoffs for the 12th consecutive season. The Spanish giants, who’ve won a record 11 European titles, last failed to make the playoffs in the 2011/12 season.

Accustomed to making the postseason as one of the top-seeded teams, Real this time arrived for the playoffs via the play-in. Chus Mateo’s men finished the regular season as the seventh seed with a 20-14 record.

This meant a one-off play-in battle with eighth seed Paris. Heavy favourites to win against the EuroLeague debutants, Madrid were humbled 81-73 at home. But at the second bite of the cherry against Bayern Munich, Los Blancos kept their title hopes alive with a 93-71 win.
