Eighth placed Olympiacos host Crvena zvedza in the EuroLigue on Thursday. The Greek side are in the play-off positions at present  with a 4-4 record with the visitors down in 14th position in the 18-team league. Olympiacos currently would have to win another match in the play-offs to get to the last eight. They'll therefore want to secure a top six finish to avoid that. They could easily be in the top three but for two recent losses that could easily have gone their way. Olympiacos only lost by two points away at Fenerbahce, not a bad result considering the first quarter was lost by 14 points. Their last home game saw them go down by a point to Baskonia in a strange match. They won the first quarter by six points but then lost the second by 21, conceding 30 points. The next two quarters were won but they just missed out on catching their opponents up. A third straight loss was avoided when beating Maccabi Tel Aviv by five points, though they led by 15 after the first two quarters. 

Crvena zvedza have a 3-5 record for the season but outside the play-off positions at present. Their most recent game saw them get a comfortable 87-56 home win over Fenerbahce and took their home record to 3-1. That's keeping them from the bottom reaches of the table because their away record is poor. All four of their away fixtures this season have ended in defeat. Losses have been incurred against Zalgiris, Virtus Bologna, Partizan and Barcelona. All were close games but losses nonetheless. We go for Olympiacos to get a narrow home win.
