She cruised through qualifying with two consecutive straight set victories before dispatching 66th-ranked Diana Shnaider 6-4, 6-2 in the first-round proper. The 43rd-ranked Ukrainian would then go on to upset 21st-ranked Donna Vekic in the second-round to set up this encounter. Tsurenko has a solid record of 39 wins and only 16 losses on the year (70% winning mark). This includes an impressive 28-10 (73.7%) record on hard courts. Tsurenko will be confident heading into this matchup as she already overcame the challenge of Krejcikova earlier this year. The two pros faced off in the first-found of Roland Garros, where Tsurenko would secure a 2-0 win.
