Barbora Krejcikova vs Jil Teichmann Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Dubai Tennis Championships

We're guaranteed an unseeded player in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships. Jil Tiechmann takes on Barbora Krejickova in the last four after a week of upsets. The winner takes on either Garbine Muguruza or Elise Mertens in the final.  Krejickova is the world number 63 player in the singles rankings. However, she's number seven in the doubles list and has won the mixed doubles at the Australian Open for the past three years. Success in the singles isn't so common though and since 2014 the Czech has only qualified for the main draw of four Grand Slam singles tournaments, her best performance being a fourth round at the 2020 French Open. That improvement in singles competitions continued with a quarter final this year in the Grampians Classic with a win over Elena Rybakina. The second round of the Australian Open was reached  (she won the mixed doubles and lost in the final of the women's doubles) but last week she lost in the qualifying rounds of the Qatar Total Open. It's been a different story this week with wins over 16th seeded Maria Sakkari, Jelena Ostapenka and Svetlana Kuznetsova. The quarter final saw her beat Anastasia Potapova losing just two games.

Her opponent in this semi-final is Swiss player Jill Tiechmann. The Swiss player has won two clay tournaments in the past and last year lost in the final of the Top Seed Open in Lexington, played on a hard court. She is currently ranked nine places above her opponent. Tiechmann began 2021 with defeats by Coco Gauff at both the Gippsland Trophy and the first round of the Australian Open. The quarter final of the Phillip Island Trophy was reached and then the semi-final of the Adelaide Classic, losing to eventual winner Iga Swiatek. This week, Tiechmann is yet to drop a set and beat Petra Kvitova in the second round. She led by a set and her opponent retired in the second. The quarter final saw her get revenge on Coco Gauff with a straight sets win. Bet on her to win this match and reach the final.
