The Blue Shirts have won 32 matches against this opponent, while Bangladesh have won eight and one match ended in a no-result. That semi-final meeting in the 2017 edition of the tournament was the only time these two have met in the Champions Trophy.

India had the ideal preparation leading up to the ICC Champions Trophy, having faced England in a five-match T20 series followed by a three-match ODI series over the last month and a bit.
The Men in Blue proved much too good for the Three Lions during that time, romping to a 4-1 victory in the shortest format before securing a clean sweep in the 50-over series last week.
The Blue Shirts have been dominant in limited-overs cricket over the past few years and have won nine of their last 12 ODI matches since their tour of Australia last September.

For India, the obvious biggest miss is that of Jasprit Bumrah, who was forced to miss the competition due to a back injury he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar series last year.
In his absence, the experienced Mohammed Shami is expected to lead the pace attack, while up-and-comer Arshdeep Singh has had a very good year and will be one to watch in the tournament.
With the bat, the Men in Blue’s order oozes class wherever you look, starting with Shubman Gill and skipper Rohit Sharma at the top of the order, with Virat Kohli likely to step in at number three.

Bangladesh will look to their captain Najmul Hossain Shanto to give them a solid foundation at the top of the order while the experience of Mahmudullah will be crucial to their success in the middle overs.
