Bangladesh vs India Prediction & Betting Tips - World Test Championship
by Devesh Jaganath | in Cricket Predictions
The second and final Test match of India’s tour of Bangladesh is set to take place at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka this Thursday. Following a poor showing in the ODI series, India rebounded strongly and took a 1-0 lead in the red ball format, winning the first Test comprehensively by 188 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara has been the standout batsman for India recently, scoring 90 and an unbeaten 102 in the match at Chattogram. Kuldeep Yadav did the damage with the ball picking up 5-40 in the first innings and followed it up with 3-73 in the second innings. India’s impressive display has seen them surpass South Africa, who was in second place in the World Test Championship standings. A win for India will help them stay in contention with the likes of England and South Africa in the WTC race and carry some momentum into the new year.
Bangladesh’s test form has been a complete contrast to their limited-overs performances. The Tigers have now lost 7 of their last 8 test matches. They are second from bottom in the WTC standings, followed only by Zimbabwe, who have only played 6 test matches this term. Despite putting up a resilient second innings display against their opponents in the first Test, the first innings collapse for 150 runs ultimately decided the match. The main positive that the Bangladeshis can take from the match was the performance of debutant Zakir Hasan, who scored a century off 224 balls in the second innings. The ever-dependable skipper Shakib Al Hassan also chipped in with 84 runs before falling to a peach of a delivery from Yadav. Bangladesh is expected to make several changes to their starting 11 for this encounter and will want to secure a share of the spoils by tying the series and ending the year on a positive.

Our Bangladesh vs India Prediction
The race for a spot in the Test World Championship final is heating up, with India, South Africa, England, Australia, and New Zealand all still in contention. Despite dealing with a few injuries, including that of Rohit Sharma, the Indian test team looks extremely solid. Their top order has shown resilience and the ability to score quickly when needed, while their spin attack has proven to be too much for their opponents to handle. Bangladesh seems to lack a bit of self-belief at the moment, and their batsmen are struggling to find any sort of consistency in their performances. Our Bangladesh v India prediction is that India will complete the series sweep in this one.
