Australia were in record breaking mood when beating Canada at the weekend. They scored 108 points in the match and that's their highest ever score in a FIBA World Basketball Cup match. There were 24 assists by the Australians, another record and a record 10 of those came from Joe Ingles. Their match against Canada was a real thriller despite the eventual 16 point gap at the end of the game. Australia had a 12-point lead at half-time but then conceded 37 points in the third quarter to go a point behind. The final quarter saw normal service resumed as they won it 32-15 to take an important victory. Six players got into double figures and that bodes well for the rest of this event. A win over Senegal should see them through to the next stage of this tournament. 

Senegal look destined to finish bottom of this group. They began their campaign with a disappointing 101-47 defeat by strongly fancied Lithuania. It was a tough game right from the start for them as they lost the first quarter by 17 points and were 28 behind at half time. They continued to lose each quarter by at least ten points and the most they could manage in a quarter was the 14 scored in the final quarter. Another tough game looks on the cards here and the tip is for Australia to get the win on a -29.5 handicap.
