Australia are ranked fourth in the world and won this tournament back in 2006. They were defeated in the semi-finals in the last World Cup and then only finished fifth at the 2016 Rio Olympics ending five straight tournaments when they won either the silver or the bronze medal (USA always won the Gold). Since that disappointment they have appointed Sandy Bordello as their coach and she led them to a convincing Gold Medal performance at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year. The Australians have won 12 of their last 13 internationals, the only loss being to Japan and that was only by a single point. 

Nigeria are competing in the World Cup finals for only the second time. Their only other appearance was in 2006 when finishing 16th losing all three of their games, two of them by over 30 points. They did win the African Championships last year to qualify them for this tournament but will struggle in this group which has been described as being the 'group of death' and it's very unlikely the African side will survive up against Australia, Turkey and Argentina. Go for over 150.5 points to be scored in this match.
