Australia vs Great Britain Prediction & Betting Tips - Davis Cup

Second seeds Australia take on Great Britain in the Davis Cup. We're at the group stage of the finals and after this match, the two teams have France and Switzerland to face. The top two go through to the knockout stages that are being held in late November. The format sees two singles matches being played and then a doubles. Great Britain have home advantage as this is being played in Manchester. They played the group stages at home last year but still failed to qualify. There's an experienced line-up being fielded by Great Britain with world number 17 Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans (27th) as their two highest ranked singles players. Andy Murray and in-form Jack Draper are also on board as well as world number three ranked doubles player Neal Skupski. Both Norrie and Evans lack consistency as does Murray. It's unlikely they'll give Draper a start despite his run in the US Open.

Australia lost in the final last year to Canada and will hope to go one better this time around. They have the highest ranked player in their team with Alex de Minaur playing. He's the world number 12 and has been in excellent form on American hard courts in recent weeks. There's no Nick Kyrgios but their second highest ranked player is Max Purcell who's currently 43rd in the rankings. Both Kokkinakis and Thompson are also in the top 75. When it comes to the doubles, they also have a top ten ranked player with Matthew Ebdon currently eighth. This is likely to be a close match and could well go down to the doubles. We tip Australia to get a narrow victory.
